DIY Advice: Rustic-inspired table decor

In keeping with the rustic décor theme, here are ideas you can use to incorporate it into your table settings.

Depending on your chosen colour theme, you can start with a white table cloth as your base and add your colour through in table runners and accent pieces. If you’re going with the more traditional rustic look (as seen at weddings) you could use hessian or burlap as a table runner. If you want to try something different you could use flowers and greenery such as Succulents, Ivy and shrubbery as the table runner, creating a natural look.

Next Step: Centre Pieces like candles, bottles, glass jars and wood slices work well as the runners and make such a statement on their own. You can keep these very minimal or you can rather scatter them along the length of the runner.

For finishing touches you could add in some wood slices as placemats, or drink coasters. You can use bottles as candle holders. And you can add some fresh bright flowers to the table for pops of colour.
